Thanks to those delightful people at Shortcovers,Atomic Fez enters the world of publishing Electronic Books. If you’re new to the idea of these alternatives to paper-based books, then let Shortcovers explain what options they provide here. Sometimes you might not wish to spend twenty dollars or more on a book, or even have one more object in your already cluttered existence. Many books can be cherished as objects, but sometimes you just want to have the words to read. Shortcovers is here to help.
You can now download their free app for your Apple iPhone or iPod Touch, Blackberry®, Palm Prē, or Google Android™ enabled mobile, and read Rhys Hughes’s Twisthorn Bellow anywhere you are! No waiting is required to enter the mad world of Mr. Hughes’s fiction!
Those of you who don’t have one of the items above, take heart. Shortcovers is currently developing versions of their software for both Windows™ and Symbian™ Mobile Phones, as well as eReaders, Netbooks and other Smartphone models. You’ll be getting PDF, MOBI, HTML, EPUB and PDB (eReader) files all in one handy file for the low low price of $9.99 (CDN). They are DRM-free files with no global restrictions. Please respect Rhys’s copyright by not sharing or otherwise distributing his work without remuneration. He makes his living from people buying and reading his books, so you’re helping to ensure he can sleep indoors and eat actual food.
Once I figure out how to ensure you can purchase that ZIP file via PayPal and be re-directed back here to the site at a secure ‘download file here’ page, that’ll be available with instant processing ability. Until then, clicking the “E-BOOK” button will let you send an e-mail to me asking for a copy of the ZIP by return e-post. Updated Dec 12: This task has been accomplished and you can now click the orange button to be taken to PayPal, then you’ll return to the site and download the ZIP file, all in one smooth experience regardless of the time of the day or night. No matter what piece of hardware you have (Sony Reader, Kindle, Plastic Logic) or software platform you use (Stanzas, Adobe E-Reader, etc.), most of these files will work very well, and one format will be perfectly suited.
